Citizens for Fauquier County (CFFC) board members and supporters once again rolled up their sleeves to make an impact on our community through the Adopt-a-Highway program this summer. Our dedicated team focused their efforts on King Hill Road and Cemetery Road in Southern Fauquier, turning out for a morning of cleaning and beautifying these important byways, which cover a two-mile stretch of historic county roads.
The Adopt-a-Highway program is a natural fit for CFFC, as it reflects our commitment to preserving Fauquier County's natural, historical, and agricultural resources. By maintaining these roads, we not only enhance the local environment but also strengthen community spirit and pride. This most recent cleanup marks four years of volunteerism, and nearly five truckloads of garbage and debris removed by CFFC since undertaking the program.
CFFC has been the guardian of Fauquier’s controlled growth and rural agricultural character.
These cleanups are not just about picking up litter; they are one small act that contributes to our overall efforts to actively preserve the beauty and integrity of our county's landscapes for future generations.
We invite everyone who shares our passion for Fauquier County to join us on our bi-annual litter clean-up days. It's a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact and connect with like-minded individuals who care deeply about our community.
If you're interested in participating or learning more about how you can contribute, please email us at admin@citizensforfauquier.org.
Let's keep Fauquier beautiful, one road at a time!
