Citizens for Fauquier County has again committed to adopting a Virginia byway through the Virginia Department of Transportation's Adopt-a-Highway program. CFFC volunteers spent Saturday morning beautifying Southern Fauquier's King Hill Road and Cemetery Road.
Susan Russell, a long-time board member, and Fauquier resident since 1976, said she is "pleased our organization (CFFC) is a part of this program because it falls in line with our mission. We got to make a difference and keep a little section of our county clean and have fun while doing it!"
CFFC is committed to preserving the natural, historical, and agricultural resources of Fauquier County. The board felt that the Adopt-a-Highway program was an excellent chance for members and volunteers to come together in their like-minded mission of preservation, beautification, and community involvement within Fauquier County.
