Executive Director
Position overview
Citizens for Fauquier County (CFFC) is a grass-roots, non-profit conservation organization that for 57 years has played an essential role in preserving the rural/agricultural landscape and heritage of Fauquier County despite rapid growth throughout northern Virginia. For more information about CFFC, please visit our website: www.citizensforfauquier.org
In recent years, CFFC has evolved as an organization and we now need to hire our first Executive Director and address the escalating threat of development in our county and further advance CFFC’s mission of preserving open space, supporting agriculture, and protecting historical resources. The ability to take CFFC to the next level as a well-managed non-profit, develop close relationships with other conservation organizations and local government officials, and represent the organization to all its audiences are very important.
The Executive Director position will report to CFFC’s president. The position is primarily remote but requires a significant presence in Warrenton, Virginia, to attend local government and CFFC meetings and events. Compensation and benefits will be commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
